先进钢铁材料的固态相变与材料设计。在固态相变热力学与动力学理论研究基础上,开展汽车、航天航空、核电等领域用超高强度钢、抗辐照耐热钢、高温合金等材料设计工作,探索闪速加热、增材制造、人工智能等新兴技术在金属结构材料领域的应用。

围绕高性能钢铁材料的固态相变机理与材料设计开展研究工作,发表论文70余篇,包括Acta Materialia(20篇)、Materials Science Engineering: R: Reports、Science Advance、Scripta Materialia(10篇)等金属材料领域TOP期刊;在TMS、PRICM、Euromat等重要学术会议作邀请报告20余次,获得3次优秀报告奖;担任TMS学会相变分会委员、中国材料学会青年委员会委员等。担任Metallurgical Materials Transaction A(MMTA)、Acta Metallurgica Sinica、Rare Metals等期刊编委。
