Research Field
Professor LIU is leading a research group in Laboratory of Advanced Materials Processing Technology, Ministry of Education. Their research interests are multi-scale modeling and simulation of advanced solidification and casting processes, including (1) modeling and simulation of unidirectionally solidified super alloy turbine blade castings for aviation industry, (2) modeling and simulation of large and heavy steel casting and ingot for energy industry, and (3) modeling and simulation of light weight alloy casting for automobile industry. He is also very much involved in strategy study of vitalization of Chinese manufacturing industry and advanced manufacturing technology with the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
